One truth we will all encounter on our parenting journey is  - change is inevitable.  How will you embrace a new season of parenting?

Maybe you are not moving towards an empty nest quite yet. Or perhaps, in your situation, it may never be a possibility. However, one truth we will all encounter on our parenting journey is  – change is inevitableHow will you embrace a new season of parenting?

Will you hang on to the past as if the next season of parenting can’t compare? If you do, you might strip the present moment of all the joy it has to offer.

Remember

When I struggle to release a season of parenting, I always remember my friend’s precious words from long ago –

“The next seasons of life are good too!”

  1. My two elder daughters are in their 40s & my youngest mid 30s, my eldest grandchild is 21 & youngest under 10, then I have step daughters in their 30’s & younger step grandchildren.
So I have seen quite a few seasons of parenting/grandparenting & step parenting/grandparenting in my life…
Each has its own joys & challenges! But that is what makes life interesting! 😀
    Bless you Maree,
    Jennifer

    1. Jennifer, I would say you have seen a few seasons. And I might add – you have great words of wisdom. Maree

    1. Valerie,
Yes, you are heading into that arena. It will be here before you know it. Maree

  2. I enjoyed Michele’s post. I remember when m oldest son finished sixth grade, and it suddenly hit me that he was halfway through his school years at home. While it’s sad to know that our children are getting closer to leaving us, each season of life has its joys. I’ve enjoyed their college years and young adulthood, too.

    1. Barbara,

I, too, enjoyed my kid’s college years. You are so right, “each season of life has its joys.” Blessings to you, Maree
