Does it seem like everyone else is having more fun? As you peruse through your Instagram feed do the smiling faces jump right off the screen shouting, “I have more fun than you.”  One begins to wonder why didn’t I get their life?

Does it seem like everyone else is having more fun? As you peruse through your Instagram feed do the smiling faces jump right off the screen shouting, “I have more fun than you.”  One begins to wonder, “Why didn’t I get their life?”

I have spent my fair share of time living in the comparison trap, and it sure didn’t make things better.  Plus, underneath their beautiful pictures, you will find real life. We have a choice.  We can choose to dwell on the experience we wished for or decide to have fun in the life we were given.

Becky Hasting is our featured writer today, and she sums it up so well in her post –

“When It Feels Like Everyone Is Having More Fun.”

Becky writes over at My Ink Dance.  I hope you click here to read her post where she shares some truths about what holds us back from having more fun.

“If we spend our life looking at what everyone else is doing we miss out on what we can do.”

  1. Thank you for featuring this post! It is an honor, but more than that it is so good to know that we’re not alone. That I’m not the only one. This subject is so real for me, and knowing that we can encourage one another even in our struggles is a gift!
