Do you struggle to take time to enjoy life? It is so easy to get caught up in the busyness of a season that we forget to have fun. This week I am taking a short blogging break to spend time with family and friends doing what I love – skiing. It rests my mind and refuels my soul.

Oh yes! I know I need that rest so much. Writing laments and running in the forest are so vital to my physical and spiritual health.
Anna – I love that you run in the forest. I keep trying to figure out I take up after ski season end that will bring me the same joy and rest to my sou. I am such a big chicken and a city dweller. I am petrified of the wild animals that might be lurking about. Otherwise, I would love to be out in the forest.
I just came back from my refreshing time with family. Enjoy! laurensparks.net
Lauren – It is good to hear you had a refreshing time with family. Maree
Love this reminder, Maree! We do need to take the time to enjoy life. Too often we are grimly marching ahead and forget to enjoy the ride.
Laurie, Yes!! I love what you said, “Too often we are grimly marching ahead and forget to enjoy the ride.” I do this all too often. Maree
I’m so impressed – a skier! takes so much muscle strength yet looks so flowy! enjoy! I love sitting by my fire and reading a good novel!
Sue, Well I can’t say I look flowy, but I love it. Plus being out there watching those who do have that rhythm and beauty in their skiing is fun. I too love sitting by the fire. We did do some of that but no reading this time just visiting. Happy Saturday! Maree
So true – we all need down time. Have fun skiing!
Thank you!! It has been a great week of skiing. Hope you have a great weekend. Maree
Oh boy! This hit me hard! I was just telling my husband that I have a hard time enjoying live because i get so bogged down in the details and everyday responsibilities. God’s timing to point me to this post is just amazing. thank you for the reminder!
Susan, I am so glad you found this post. I too get bogged down. It took me a few days to let go of a few of those and purely enjoy being on vacation. Maree
