We were ending a great weekend away with friends when I chimed in, “Let’s get our trip scheduled on the calendar for next year.” I had caught everyone by surprise except of course my husband who knows I am the ultra planner. I love planning. It ensures I get done what I need to do and I make time for what is important. But what happens when God changes your plan?
There was a time when it seemed like every carefully laid out plan I made was being altered. The unexpected circumstances in my life were beyond my control, and internally it was a significant struggle. I was so stuck on following the plan, but God had other ideas.
Oh, how I would have loved to have read our featured post, “How to Handle Life Better when God Changes Your Plan” back in those days. Betsy de Cruz shares with us four ways to move forward when God changes your plans. Every one of her points was crucial in my journey to learn how to embrace the unexpected.
Please welcome our featured writer, Betsy who writes over at Faith Spilling Over. Click here to read her wise words.
